Tumbling Towards the Deep Waterprint

£15,000.00

2024
Oil, Flash, ink and water, on canvas
52” × 70” / 132 × 178 cm

In Tumbling Towards the Deep, I draw on a journey shared with my father along the Wild Atlantic Way in Mayo, Ireland. Brooding greens and blacks surge across the canvas, evoking the ocean’s tumult while reflecting the powerful bond between parent and child. Through my Waterprint technique, I capture the shifting layers of that relationship, where the rugged coastline becomes a metaphor for navigating life’s deeper undercurrents. The painting pulses with raw energy, inviting reflection on the interplay of resilience and surrender that guides us forward.
