Mother and Child Waterprint

£0.00

2024
Oil, Flashe, ink and water on canvas
79” x 55” / 201 × 137 cm

“Machine of the family: dark fur, forests of the mother’s body.
Machine of the mother: white city inside her.” — Louise Glück

Through my Waterprint method, each layer merges and dissolves, revealing the profound interconnection and vast, unseen dimensions that underpin the mother and child bond.

Billowing, rhythmic shapes capture the warmth and complexity of nurturing, while bursts of pink and tangerine threaded with flashes of white suggest hidden emotional undercurrents.

These vibrant hues evoke the tender push and pull of creation. My technique entwines with the concept - merging, dissolving, and emerging anew.
