Mercury Waterprint

£16,500.00

2024
Oil, Flashe, ink and water, on canvas
55” × 80” / 140 × 205 cm

Taking inspiration from the fluidity of the element Mercury Waterprintt captures the organic beauty of transformation. The shimmering golds and soft pinks are reminiscent of elemental shifts, as the work echoes the rhythmic movement of natural forms. Its crescent-like shape invites reflection on the alchemical changes that occur beneath the surface, blurring the lines between solid and liquid, past and present. Imagining my daughter as Joan of Arc, this work captures the glow and volatility of spirit under pressure—fluid, defiant, and unformed.
