Equinox Waterprint
2024-5
Oil, Flashe, ink and water on canvas
52” x 37” / 86 × 62 cm
Equinox came from a moment—just before tipping one way or the other. I was thinking about balance, but not the kind that’s still. The kind you have to keep adjusting to stay inside. Like the equinox itself—light and dark suspended in equal measure, just for a moment.
I created this piece during a time of deep personal transition. I kept returning to Primo Levi’s The Periodic Table—especially the way he connects survival to the elements. His writing helped me make sense of inner shifts I couldn’t name yet. This work is part of that process.
